Following up with a not-so-subtle theme from my last few posts, here’s one of my favorite Lewis quotes:
Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original. Whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.
-C.S. Lewis
**I think that’s from one of Lewis’ essays in The Weight of Glory, but I’m not sure. Someday, I’ll look up the exact source, but for now I’m Sabbathing.
Mere Christianity?
That’s probably a good guess…I found it quoted in another read and have yet to really search for it.
