Sunday Quote: Saint Anthony and the Mountains

I’m still trying to get a grasp on Saint Anthony (which, ought to be noted, goes for all of the early church Fathers) but amidst my readings, I couldn’t help but conclude we might have been friends (if he’d ever let me into his cave, that is). Observe:

“Wherefore as fish must hurry to the sea, so must we hasten to the mountain. Lest haply if we delay we forget the things within us.”

St. Athanasius; The Life of Saint Anthony

With that in mind, I would like to announce that my soul is yearning for adventure, the air is growing crisp snow is falling on Mount Washington. Let the games begin (this time I’ll bring friends)!

Happy Sunday everyone!
